This ongoing project began in 2019 as a memorial to my father after his untimely passing. It was the site of the above ground pool my parent’s had, something my father labored many years over trying to create a space for the whole family. It had been empty for a couple summers when my dad had passed away; the upkeep becoming too much for him after the health issues had slowed him down. So came the inspiration for this memorial garden for him on this place that we spent so many summers.
This project has been a great teacher for me, learning so many lessons about gardening and life; through the blood, sweat, & tears I’m connecting deeper into myself and my ancestors.
