Life/Death
two works, each 30″x34″
scrap wood & latex paint, metal hangers, screws, brad nails
2019
Made completely with the remnants of previous projects; the discarded, the leftover, the refuse. Following the intuitive spirit, while living in the liminal space of life changes these two interrelated pieces were born. They are life & death. They are the bodies of me, still living, and my father, now ashes. They each hold a space while letting both light & shadow pass through. Neither is good nor bad. They are the unity, a singularity in their separation.
