Artist Statement
I am an artist, philosopher, and environmentalist who practices ecological placemaking by working with steel, found objects, and native plants as my medium.
My work serves to shift the dichotomy of nature and man as separate things and to draw attention to their interconnectedness. Dostoevsky boldly states that “beauty will save the world”; By planting metal forms amidst native perennial flowers, I find that truth embodied within my work.
Regardless of the medium, each of my pieces are an invitation to a new way of being in and with the world by igniting curiosity and conversation centered on the environment..
