Reformergent = Reformed Theology + Emergent PostModern Perspective
I don’t know exactly what this might be, but I really want to start working on a theology merging reformed & emergent theologies. There is much strength/vitality/growth on both sides; sadly though they seem to be creating the new liberal/conservative social/evangelical divide for the next generation. The book I want to write is one that both parties could get behind while also pushing them to move closer to the other’s point of view.
Does anyone know of any really good work being done in this area? I haven’t come across it, but I’m pretty sure this isn’t an original thought. I wish I was at the point where I could really write that book, but I need much more thought and studying before I’m there.

Chris Case started an entire site devoted to this subject, but it’s been dormant now for a year:

More recently, Jim Belcher’s book “Deep Church” claims to plot a “third way” between the Reformed and emergent camps. It’s getting a lot of positive reviews. Worth checking out.
