what lies hidden beneath

This is our new-old wood floors. There was carpet covering these beautiful floors, until we did the awesomeness of ripping it out. There is a wonderful metaphor there, just waiting to be uncovered.

There is a little more work to be done, like putting covers over the transitional areas and putting in a base board to cover up the nastiness of the tack-strips. Acoustics of the house have changed dramatically.
