taking it to the city

I have been listening to some audio of Mark Driscoll’s teaching at a leadership conference.

They are very interesting and insightful.

One of the great insights that he serves up in the introductory session, Christians are called to the city. He describes it as being upstream for culture, opposed to the suburbs & rural being down stream. To have an influence on a culture you have to be in the city, not running from it into the suburbs.

I have been following Driscoll’s blog, and  I have to say that I am really starting to like him. There are somethings which he believes which give me pause, but overall he seems to have a good perspective.
