paul has hijacked my intellect

This a been a tough week. I never realized how much energy teaching this class would require of me. I shouldn’t blame anyone, though; it is mostly my own problem of trying to overachieve. Teaching a class on Romans, is definitely difficult for me, most simply because I haven’t really done much real theological study. I mean I am not going to count reading Brian McLaren on emerging churches as tough theology. I consider that stuff in the realm of pop-christian literature. Even though I enjoy it and there is a lot of good stuff in it, it isn’t really hard to read.
I haven’t posted much lately, because I haven’t really had anything to say—that is to say nothing that isn’t related to Paul and the book of Romans.
I feel like my initial work has been completed, so things should settle down somewhat on that front.
I have thought about republishing my posts from the FUMCclass.com website over here, but I think I’ve decided that, that’s stupid. If you aren’t getting satisfied enough here, definitely jump over there for a good conversation about Romans.

i feel the same way. since i have started back to school, it seems that all i want to post about is how my day has gone at school, or something totally unrelated to what i normally post about. i have to make a conscious effort to stay consistent sometimes. i have no doubts that once this class gets rolling steadily you will be back in pocket…until then, leave the fumc posts on the fumc blog!
